PEPPERONI SALE FOR KATE’S WAY! Pat and Lester conspired once again to bring Thanksgiving Pepperoni to our meeting last week. Samples were on the table to whet everyone’s appetite and it was noted that they vanished in a flash. All profits to benefit Kate’s Way.

PRESIDENT ERNIE’S NOTES: Our annual FIRESIDE MEETING DECEMBER 13. 7:00 PM This is the annual planning meeting for the next rotary year – 56 Deerfield Road, Wayne, (just over the Jackson Ave Bridge, hang a right, then a left.) Rotarians only, no spouses or partners! PV ROTARY COOK-OFF and HOLIDAY PARTY will be at Pat’s on December 15th. Jim Cutillo has the contest sign-up sheets for the different categories ready soon, $20 for members to enter; Donna buying prizes for each catagory. Fee goes to servers, bartenders, paper goods. Members not entering, pay $20 as well, plus "penalty" to be determined, Spouses and signifigant others, no charge. Singing was last year’s penalty! . *** Robbin announced that the ROBBIN’S ICEHOUSE BBQ AND GATHERING will be in December 18, at his icehouse on Station Road in Lincoln Park. *** This year’s DISTRICT CONFERENCE will be a five day Bermuda cruise on the Royal Caribbean Line’s "Anthem of the Seas" on May 26 to May 31, 2018. http://rotarydistrict7470.org/event/district-cdonference/

Joe H$ for the Vererans Lunch, F&FF Dinner; Halsey H10$ For grandson, (5’6", 180) bragging rights, had two back to back games, hit 2 home runs out of the park, H$ Tim Tebow in Parsippany; Kathleen H$; Jim H$ Son Jake passed the first two two sections of the architect’s exam; Cosimo S2$ Ist Time Italy knocked out of World Cup Finals; H$ Clarence H$ Thanking all for supporting his club’s calendar raffle.

FELLOWSHIP: Paul Dolendo celebrated his 53rd Anniversary with Ann and his 75th Birthday the next day with a check for $92 – he reverses the numbers and adds them – got that? No singing, he asked that we shake his hand when leaving.

GRAINS OF HOPE BENEFIT PERFORMANCE

Doug Cook noted that this year, our GRAINS OF HOPE community food packing event held in March 2018 will reach its ONE MILLION MEAL mark. PV Rotary has been a key sponsor and supporter of this annual effort. In 2018, 85,000 meals, about half of those packed will be destined for NEW JERSEY FOODBANKS! As part of the fund raising effort, there will be a special benefit performance of ‘The WELCOME TO PEQUANNOCK VALLEY ROTARY !
