A REPORT OF OUR MARCH 21st MEETING FOR OUR MARCH 28th LUNCH MEETING AT BARDI’S

PAST PV ROTARY MEMORIAL DAY PARADE ENTRIES

At the last board and business meeting, Cosimo again offered to have a PV Rotary entry in this year’s memorial Day parade. He was ready the last two years, but both parades were rained out. He will try again this year and wants Rotarians to ride in the back of the military deuce and a half truck. At far left is our parade entry from 1966 where we had a flatbed truck with a "Peace Through Understanding" book and Unisphere type of globe displayed. Our 1990 entry consisted of a very large Rotary "wheel" decorated with hundreds of gold, blue and white carnations which were laboriously glued on to the plywood base the day before. The late Don Fritz, who road shotgun, commented on the positive reaction they received from the public. coslaterza@optonline.net

GUESTS: None, but we had a good showing of 24 members present, DESPITE the snowstorm outside!
